The Form 3 from Formlabs - Featuring Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)™

The Form 3 from Formlabs prints using Low Force Sterelithography (LFS), this equals detailed 3D prints with tear-away light-touch supports.

  • The optical system on the Form 3 maintains a precise, dense laser spot to ensure accurate, repeatable prints
  • Prints from the Form 3 are easy to clean-up and the light-touch tear-away supports give a smoother finish to your parts

You can look forward to non-stop printing with the Form 3.

  • Integrated sensors on the Form 3 monitor and maintain optimum 3D print conditions, for consistent performance
  • The simple resin cartridge system means you can switch between materials easily
  • Easy-to-use design and user-replaceable components ensures your uptime is maximized

The Form 3 grows with your business.

  • Scalable system that will help you meet the demands of your business, now and in the future

What is Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)?

  • Low Force Stereolithography is a leap on from the SLA process featured in the Formlabs Form 2 printer. It's SLA with less peel forces applied due to the Form 3's flexible bottomed resin tank and the moving Light Processing Unit (LPU) on the Form 3. These produce less peel forces when the Form 3 is printing, therefore the prints on the Form 3 require less supports and feature even more great detail than the Form 2.

Is the Form 3 quicker than the Form 2?

  • At shipping the print times on the Form 3 will be comparable with those on the Form 2. However, with the Form 3 prints you'll have less finishing to do (less supports to remove, for example) so your print and finish time could be reduced.

What Software does the Form 3 use?

  • The Form 3 uses PreForm, the same as the Form 2. PreForm is easy to learn and use.

What consumables are common to the Form 3 and the Form 2?

  • The Form 3 and Form 2 use the same Resin Cartridges and Build Platforms. However, the Resin Tanks are completely different.
