V-Ray Next for SketchUp is now shipping - offering a brand new rendering experience.
V-Ray Next for SketchUp has been redesigned from the ground up. The new user interface is clean and simple. With quick presets and streamlined controls, you can focus on being creative, without worrying about the technical stuff. Now, it's faster and easier than ever to create great looking renders right in SketchUp.
Widely used by architectural and interior visualisers worldwide to create incredible photorealistic visuals, V-Ray for SketchUp is known for its remarkably smooth global illumination, physically accurate materials and for its fast rendering speed.
Whilst V-Ray for SketchUp is a relatively complex product with numerous controls and settings, setting up a render scene is extremely simple thanks to the Presets for exposure, quality and scene type. The free V-Ray Express module makes things even simpler with a collection of materials, backdrops, studio lights and image based lighting.
V-Ray works inside SketchUp as a true plug-in and there is no need to to export data. Geometry changes made in SketchUp are reflected immediately in V-Ray. Images can be created using either V-Ray RT or the V-Ray Production Renderer.
V-Ray RT allows for images to render constantly in real time, changes to lighting, materials, geometry and camera update immediately. RT can be configured to use either CPU, GPU Open CL or GPU Nvidia CUDA so that the performance can be optimised to a specific workstation set up.

Virtualization systems such as VMWare and Parallels are not recommended.
The use of imaged machines is not recommended due to the fact that the licensing is hardware dependent.
